I promised the child that if she went to the clinic during the zombie attack, and if she healed, that I would give her a party to celebrate. I think it has been long enough delayed.

I would not go back on my word. And I wanted her to have something to look forward to. Often times, when one is ill, the promise of something good when one is better can help in recovery.
