Tina, you live in Oregon. You could make up all those steps by simply taking a walk, and I guarantee it'll be a big ol' pleasure.

pedometers can be a pain in my intelligence madzoner April 16 2007, 01:05:17 UTC
I wore one for a while and as you know I analyze everything to death. When I was at work walking around the office I averaged 2,000 hits. I wore it on a saturday where I had a lot of activity (raquetball, work around the geneva spread much of the day, a neighborhood walk, and some other misc movement after I got home) and still didn't hit 10k. Whatever. Where I work, they have all kinds of funky activities and we went through the whole walk across america thing for 10k steps bullshit and I'm here to tell you, it can be a pain in the arse to track all this shit. I am working on life simplification and one of these pedometers can really put a cramp in that sometimes. I'll tell you it is good for tracking your activities like walking but mostly useless if you want to track all day. I suppose there are probably better ones out there that tell the difference between walking, jogging, sitting, bending over to tie your shoe, opening your car door and many other tasks that don't relate to what it was actually intended for. -pause- " ( ... )
