Just now, I would really like to be in my bed, with the lights off and Radio 3 playing quietly in the background. I've had a headache for two days and it's hurting my eyes.

Is there anywhere that you would really, really like to be right now?

My main place I would like to be is "anywere but here". If I had to be specific, I would be in Cornwall, sitting in the gazebo at mum's house and drinking gin.

I found myself wishing I were on a sunny beach the other day, and I don't even like beaches. I must really want to be somewhere else.

I don't particularly like beaches, although I love the sea, but have been having a real hankering to be on a stone British beach on a cold but sunny day. Possibly in Northumberland. It must be innate at times of horridness.

I would really like to be lying in the sunshine on Boston Common reading a good book and drinking iced latte. Or walking along the seafront in Brighton smelling the air. Anywhere outdoors really.

Or at home on the sofa in my pants watching back to back Ally McBeal episodes. This one at least has a realistic chance of happening at some point over the next few days.

Matt and Laura and Bart and I are heading to Brighton for a weekend soon. I'd ask you along, but it's Matt's thang. We should go sometime. It'd be fab.
