Summary: Why is it Jin avoiding Kame when tomorrow is their 10th anniversary?

Kame is searching for Jin in KAT-TUN’s dressing room that day because he wants to say something to the other guy. Tomorrow is their 10th Anniversary since entering Johnny’s Jimusho. So, he wants to celebrate the whole day with Jin and if he is lucky, he wants to say his real feeling towards the other guy.
However, Jin is acting weird, he seems to be avoiding Kame at all cost the whole day. When Kame is in a particular room, Jin seems to make it a point not to be in the same place. Not that Kame didn’t try to approach him, one time he had cornered Jin but the other boy found an excuse to get away from him. This makes Kame wonder if he had done something wrong that he didn’t even noticed. He tried to remember any clues that might have led to this kind of reaction from the other boy but found none.
Kame is feeling down that Jin treats him this way since tomorrow is a special day for the both of them. It is now ten years since they’ve met each other for the first time and from day one they have become instant close friends. Kame really wants to celebrate that special day with Jin but Jin is avoiding him like a plague.
Lost in thought of Jin’s weird behavior he suddenly felt a tap on his back and that said person sat beside him, he faced Maru who has a big grin plastered on his face. Kame spied Jin standing a couple of feet away from the two of them.
“Ne, Kame. Tomorrow is going to be our 10th year being in this Jimusho. So, I thought it would be great if we could celebrate it together. You, me and Jin. Well, we three entered this Jimusho on the same day. So, what do you think we celebrate it today, after work? Since tomorrow we will busy.” suggest Maru.
“I think it will be great. I agree. Jin, you will come too, right?” Kame accepts Maru’s offer and tries to talk to Jin again. But then, no response, Jin just keeps on staring blankly at the paper in his hand. Once again, Kame is feeling hurt with Jin’s cold behavior.
“Jin…Are you listening?” Maru asks again after a long silence, he called Jin’s attention again, “Jin.”
Jin seems shock with Maru’s voice calling his attention. He tore his gaze away from the paper he was staring at to look at their band mate questioningly.
“Well, I want the three of us to go celebrate our 10th year in this Jimusho, today after work, since tomorrow I know we will be very busy, Kame already said yes, how about you?”
For the first time that day, Jin looks directly at Kame, he wonders why the younger man looks so sad.
“Uhm, I’ll pass. I got something to do.” Jin answered then went out of the room.
“What’s wrong with that guy?” Maru asked.
Kame didn’t have an answer to that, he just lifted his shoulder in a shrug as an answer to the other’s question. Since the two of them already agreed to go out, they’ve made plans where they would go after work. After their rehearsal Maru and Kame walk out together to celebrate their anniversary even though it’s one day early.

After celebrating with Maru, Kame gave a lift to the other man and then drove home. He tried to be happy even though is not complete because Jin was not there to celebrate their anniversary with them, he had made an effort for Maru’s sake. He is shocked when he had reached his apartment he had found Jin in front of his door, sitting on the top step patiently waiting for him, head resting on his legs.
“Jin…” Kame said as he touched Jin’s shoulder. Jin looks up then he looks at his watch. And found it’s a few minutes before 12 o’clock.
Both of them not saying anything Kame led the way to the apartment, Kame entered and kept the door open and Jin without waiting Kame’s verbal invitation also entered the apartment.
“What’s wrong? What are you doing here?” Kame asks to Jin who made himself comfortable on the couch in the living room. “I thought you were ignoring me.”
“Actually, I was planning to celebrate our anniversary, tomorrow” Jin said slowly. “Just two of us.”
“What do you mean to celebrate just two of us?” Kame is surprised with Jin’s word. “When you were totally ignoring me the whole day?”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to ignore you. It’s just…” Jin paused.
He looks at the watch. It’s already 12 o’clock. Then, his hand slips in one of his pocket, grabbing a letter and then he passed it to Kame.
“It’s already 12 o’clock and now is 8th November. Happy anniversary, Kazu. This is for you.” He gave that letter to Kame.
Kame didn’t say anything. He takes the letter and reads it.
The first time I looked at you in that audition 10 years ago,

When I saw how Kusano seems to really adore you, I got really jealous,

When you said that you’ll debut first with Yamapi, my best friend, I got jealous. I was mad and ignored you but at the same time, it breaks my heart,

When I was sent abroad to study English, I know that the distance would separate us,
I knew that I had fallen in love with you.
When I watched the kissing scene in Sapuri and Tatta Hitotsu No Koi, I got jealous with those girls,
I knew that I had fallen in love with you.
When I came back to the Japan, and attended CtKT II You Concert at Sendai, how you held my shoulder, tight, and how we held hands,
I knew that I had fallen in love with you.
When I look how intimate you and Koki during MC CtKT II You Concert at Tokyo, I felt like I wanted to kick and punch that baldy guy at that time,
I knew that I had fallen in love with you.
When I watch CtKt episode which you and Koki went to the Chiba, and then Koki shouted, “Kame, aishiteru”, I got really envious,
I knew that I love you.
When you totally ignored me during our recording Lips PV, my heart is broken,
I knew that I love you.
When I’ve been going out with Nishiyama Maki, the feeling when I with her is totally different when I am with you,
I knew that I love you.
All the moments that we shared together,
I think I had fallen in love with you.
And now,
I don’t know since when I had fallen in love with you.
But the only thing that I am sure of,
Each second, each hour, each time,
My love for you is growing.

As Kame read all those beautiful words Jin had written on the letter he can’t help but let his tears fall, he’s really touch with what Jin had confessed. His tears keep falling down, he tried to stop crying and compose himself but he can’t hold it. Jin stepped closer to Kame and wipes his tears away.
“Do you really love me that much?” Kame asks while in between sobs. Jin nods his head.
“Since when?” Kame asks again.
“Always.”
“Why didn’t you tell me then?”
“I don’t have the guts.”
“And now, what are you waiting for?” Kame said. Jin didn’t understand what Kame is trying to say.
Since Jin looks didn’t get his hint, Kame grabs Jin’s collar and then he kissed Jin.
“I love you, too. I’ve been waiting to hear this from you all this while.” Kame said after the kiss.
Jin smiled lovingly at Kame. “I’m not satisfied. It’s me who told you first what I really feel, so it’s me that should start the kiss.”
“You’re so slow. That’s why I kissed you first.” Kame answered and Jin pouted.
Looking at Jin’s pout Kame really can’t resist, he closed his eyes waiting for the other one to kiss him. Jin didn’t wait a second he kissed Kame full on the lips.
“Happy anniversary, Jin.”
“Happy anniversary to you too Kazu, I love you.”
“Love you too.”
