'i think about romantic relationships in terms of self-preservation way too often.'

interesting.

what are you doing in the office still?
and why?

mmm news editor.
am taking classes, might as well work for the mighty retriever.

i wanted to talk to you the other night. i was driving home from work, thinking about how sex is overrated and all the various points i could come up with about its obligatory nature and you can tell by the words you can describe it with, all simple adjectives, wet, hard, soft, fast, slow, rhythm, and how what really matters is what you can't describe in words, and that's what usually comes before sex, and sex is just an act, and blah blah i talked to myself for an hour on the way home, and for some reason, i wanted to talk to you about it. it might have been in reference to a comment you had made on someone's lj, but meh.

I felt the urge to comment but had nothing to say.

I won't think about that too hard.

your work gets the distinction of being the first bar to kick me out before i've even had a drink.
therefore, your work sucks major ass.

One of my favorite hobbies while traveling is listening to other people's conversations. I was on my way home from Trenton, and at the Princeton stop four people on on in the seats behind me.

I stopped listening to Rush Hour Italian on my ipod because I was so engaged with their conversations. They were smart, witty, interesting, educated, and mildly political at times. After aboput a half an hour of listening, I realized that would never be the kind of conversation I had with people I see every day, and that made me a little sad.

But then I put back on Rush Hour Italian, had 2 bartles and james pina colada drinks (i love drinking on the train, even at 2pm), and enjoyed a nap for the rest of the train ride.

I understand the need for those types of conversations...
