Yes! Yes, so awesome. You fleshed out the characters more and made Mother Gothel more sympathetic, which she totally should've been.

I think I read in an interview with Donna Murphy that she does think MG loves Rapunzel, just in the way she can, though.

I saw the interview on YouTube - where Donna was talking about her character and she did mention that she thought Gothel loved Rapunzel in her own warped way. :D

Ah, I have a plot bunny bugging me where the film doesn't end the way it did with Gothel imprisoning Rapunzel and stabbing Flynn ... and ending up at the bottom of the tower. Actually, when I was watching the film in the beginning, I expected a more complicated confrontation - a little bit more grey where perhaps, she'd spare Rapunzel/Flynn because she could not hurt her 'daughter'. Alas, my hopes were shattered when the film turned out the way it did - which should have been expected since it's a Disney film whatnot. XD

I haven't seen this film yet, but I really like this! You do a good job of portraying a loving mother-daughter relationship that's nonetheless pretty unhealthy--that takes some subtle writing. And now I really need to see Tangled. ;)

Well done. I can imagine all the animation as I read the story, cream-coloured hazelnut soup with a wooden spoon, the white brush with the lovely purple flowers and well everything else. xD
