My weekend at a Christian retreat.

I had a wonderful time. First I'll talk a bit about the camp itself. The place is huge and snow-covered. There was a lot to do and a lot of friendly people from churches all over Michigan (and some Ohio + Illinois). We had our big group session with a ( Read more... )

wow...powerful entry. i know what you mean about that feeling. i hope the feeling stays with you forever, because it really is what may keep you happy. & i think we're in the same boat - my friends would never think i'm religious but i know it's in me. I see it. so i guess what i'm saying is that yeah, it gets hard to keep in that same state of mind, but in the end it will all be worth it. <333

That's awesome Ica. I've never been religious and all that, but that rocks. It's interesting, because yesterday I decided that, though I am generally nice to people, I want to make a conscious effort to be REALLY nice. Like, talk to people I don't normally talk to. Make an effort to make someone's day better. I did some of that today, and it made me feel really good. So I sort of understand where you're coming from.

Last night when I was reading Oprah's magazine (it was kind of disappointing), I pulled out this page that listed 57 random acts of kindness separated by month. I can type them out and post them if you'd like : )
