"Late one night there was a big gunfight and Max lost his head, pulled out his Chrome-45, talked some shit and wound up dead"Hehehe, Everlast rock my world :D

because shouting at a building prooves SO much doesnt it:-) not still whining are they? and...Al Di Meloa, he is amazing. i saw him on tv once doing a live show....can rip like a mofo:)hehe
"Before anyone tries to lecure me about war and why the moron with a megaphone getting in everyone's way had a very valid point, consider me aware but not overly bothered :P"
Sorry mate, but... if someone's protesting at houses of parliament about an (IMO) unjust war, giving a Countries primary asset out in contracts to AMerican countries and (however you look at it) a lot of death, it's probably worth spoiling a few people's views :)
Sorry, that wasn't my most inspired moment. Basically, I'm so glad you're happy and doing well right now, I wish I saw more of you (hopefully remedy that with the shared transcendental experience of 2 Fast 2 Furious on the weekend :)). And I know you've pretty much kept out of the war debate and don't necessarily want a lot of left-wing rhetoric you've heard a million times before on your livejournal.
guess all I'm saying is, given how bad things are in someplaces compared to how great we have it here, if all that goes wrong in a day is getting annoyed by a protester shouting, then we should be pretty thankful :)
I realise that what he is doing is considered very 'just' by a great many people and I can see why a lot of people respect him and what he's doing. I also realise that many people (yourself included) could educate me as to why what he is doing is worthwhile and decent. And if I'm honest I would probably end up agreeing with you.
But this was a post about my day, not about the war on Iraq and the politics surrounding it. Within that context the guy served only to annoy me. I don't think I, or anyone needs to be analysing the 'big political picture' every second of the day.
The very theme of that post was me finally being able to sink into my own little world and get some peace once in a while. I think everyone needs to be able to do that now and then, if nothing else but to relax :)
Anyways, not having a go at you at all. Just trying to explain my reasons for that post as to (hopefully) not offend anyone (quite as much)!
Additionally I would like to thank you for that last comment. It's really, really nice to hear that someone can understand and accept where I'm coming from however morally questionable it may be!
The whole reason I put that little comment in italics was to prevent the inevitable slew of outraged left-wing comments heading my way.
I will accept any (within reason) political standpoint because I don't really hold one myself. It's refreshing to see for once someone can accept a person who has no strict political opinions. I find many people are intolerant of that because they do hold a strict belief and are constantly trying to get people to see their perspective on it and ultimately agree with them
( ... )
that particular protestor actually protests all day, every day, and he has been there for ages, way before this war nonsense. he protests for the iraqi cause, about the lack of medicines, the sanctions imposed over the last decade, and so on.
he must have a lot of conviction to do what he does, which makes him the polar opposite of a moron, really.
But how could you not be bothered? I mean, staying neutral in a conflict because you're not certain enough of the issues of one thing, but simply not caring about it is another.
You're a smart guy Dan, and I've heard you give intelligent, reasoned arguments on stuff in the past, and I'd hate to think about you ceasing to care about stuff is all.
Apologies, it was not meant to 'shut her up'. Just simply make the point that I had already asked for no-one to bother putting that kind of comment on my livejournal.
Like I've already said, this was not a post design to analyse the political cross-hairs of a recent war, and whether or not people are justified in making a stand about it. This was about my day, and all I got was some guy shouting in my ear when I didn't want him to.
I did not wish to analyse it any further, I did not wish to think about what this man may do when I'm not there, or what kind of work he does otherwise. I did not wish at that particular time to think about it.
I'm not ceasing to care about stuff. This was one instance, one moment in my life, and I chose to just take it at face value and not look into it.
If this somehow offends anyone then I apologies (to you a farrah, it would seem) I didn't mean to upset anyone, just post an accurate account of my thoughts and actions throughout the day.
