Melancholy--

*sigh* So I understand the LJ servers have finally moved to Russia, and now we're needing to agree to a new TOS just in order to get into our accounts. Given the general... atmosphere of Russia at this point in time, I'm finding myself very uncomfortable with this turn of events ( Read more... )

"And I find myself, this evening, feeling a great sense of melancholy, partially because I am unsettled and uncomfortable with this new state for LJ, and partially because I feel like everyone has drifted regardless of whether I was here or not."

Yes, it's true that a lot of the famdoms and friends have either drifted, left or moved and I think melancholy is a good word to use.

I don't know anything about Dreamworld where everyone seems to be going now, so I guess I'll stay here for a while and see what happens . . .

Nice to hear from you, though! :)

I may not be saying much lately, but I'm still here and I still read your posts. I still care. But I understand why you've been quiet; it's for the same reason I have been. So no worries.

First off, *hugs*! Hey, dear! I was thinking about you the other day, and a little worried that I hadn't heard from you... so it's good to see you!

I'm still here, although I have transfered stuff to DW, and am reading on DW as well to keep up with the friends that have moved there. I don't like signing something I don't know, but there are enough of my friends still here that I'm not leaving. I do worry for my journal a little, since I haven't been posting, and I saw somewhere that if you don't post in six months, they delete your journal. *sigh*

We'll see... life, as you say, does keep getting in the way of things. And I realized, when talking to Rae/Seleneheart the other day, that I stopped writing more or less when my editing business took off... and haven't really written since. Stress-release writer much? *grin* Which I suppose says good things about my life post-publishing job, but still...

Aaanyway... glad you're still here!

*hugs*

*hugs* It's always good to see you here. I understand how hard it can be to get back into the swing of posting regularly, but I've kind of decided that I'll focus on reading my f-list and post when I can. My journal is still fairly quiet but hopefully by not worrying about posting I'll make it feel less stressful over time ( ... )

I'm with afra_schatz, this sucks! I am so used to LJ, and although I have started to take down my fic on LJ and just leave a link to the content on DW this feels... weird. I stumbled into the LotR fandom via LJ and I wouldn't want to miss one single memory. And you guys!
So, be reassured, we are all still here, and one way or the other, we are going to make this work for us! White Russian, anybody? ;)

PS: Is it possible to make a copy of SoG on DW or elsewhere?
