i was so excited to get back to the "school routine" then i get a text from my mother asking me to text all my friends and ask if they're alive and okay since apparently there was a shootout in school and 3 died... damn... VIRGINIA TECH MUCH

Let him be and just let him know that it's easier for two people to carry the load than just one carrying it alone. Just let him know you'll be there and he'll ask for your help when he realizes that he does need it. ;)
