I've been watching Star Trek: The Next Generation with Sam, and it's an awesome show. (Well, after season 1 ends, it's an awesome show.)

Flipping through channels feeding Sam the other day, I caught that the Sci-Fi channel was showing Mobile Suit Gundam 00

I love the first line of this, "I've been watching...with Sam." And I would love to hear Sam's critique of Star Trek.

I assume his critique of Star Trek would be, "Daddy, I don't care how many people love it, it is clearly inferior to Star Wars." Or at least I assume as much.

If Sam shares his father's opinion on Trek v. Wars, he'll think that both of them are cool, but for much different reasons.

I liked Neon Genesis Evangellion for the giant robot fight scenes unfortunately, as the series progresses the weird emotional dribble expands and there just aren't enough robots to balance it out to make it watchable anymore.
