Yeah, your eyes aren't deceiving you, it's actually an update. I promised this for Wednesday, which wasn't possible, so I cleared Friday night and did my best to get this out for you
( Read more... )
Yay! An update!!! I need to get myself in the mood before I read. Where did I put those jewels and baklava? Hmmmm. Oh, right. I don't have jewels and the philo dough is still in the freezer. Oh, well. The fic will be enough of a mood-setter, anyway! *settles down to read
( ... )
Awww, Dawn, still no gluten-free baklava? Here, take mine. *Hands you a platter full of virtual honey-coated goodies* BTW, a certain alien Sultan told me to tell you he'd love to, erm, help you enjoy them. *G*
And right there, you sum up what I love about the Chlark relationship, and why I Chlois. When the chips have been down, it has always been Chloe, time and time again, with whom he is completely vulnerable, and for whom he will sacrifice anything. Even Brainiac knew it, when he (didn't go after Lana OR Lois, and) said, "I knew you'd never hurt me in this human's skin. Why do you think I chose her?"
YES!! That's exactly what I was trying to get at, right there. *Dances* No matter what universe she lives in, Chloe will always be the woman Clark depends on first, last, and only. You'd think Clark would have figured that out by now in the SV-verse (especially after nearly keeling over when he thought she was dead), but fortunately, Sultan Kal-El has a bit more common sense. :)
EEEPS! Bad Chloe! Didn't anyone tell you not

Great chapter, lovely cliffie - poor Kal, thinking he was betrayed by his beloved! I also really enjoyed the reactions to and by Chloe at the royal audience - its great to see her making Kal question his obedience to Jor-El. Can't wait to see how it all works out!
LOL, you're the first person to call my cliffie "lovely." I'm still busy dodging Dee's pitchfork here. :D
I'm very glad you liked the royal audience, and especially Chloe's gentle attempts to free Kal-El from Jor-El's influence. Thanks for the great feedback, I appreciate it a lot, as always!! :)
TWIST! (I keep hearing Tracy Jordan say that at moments like these)
I'm all on the edge of my seat now. What's Chloe's plan to make him more normal? How's she gonna convince him she's not out to get him? Most importantly, is she going to have to undress him to discover the cause of his sudden illness?
Ack, so sorry to leave you on "TWIST"!! for so long, April! I apologize for not replying to your lovely feedback until now, too. RL, it seems, just won't stop getting in the way. *Rueful smile*
I *am* working on an update, in which, rest assured, all these and other burning questions will be answered. Especially the one about the clothes. *G*
Being that Chloe didn't know that Kryptonite is his weakness, and when she learns that it is, she should suggest that she does something "nice" to make up for it. I'm thinking fruit, whip cream or something lickable *G* *Goes off to buy big chocolate bunny for you*
Simi, I'm sorry I'm so late getting back to you. Especially after you got me that big chocolate bunny and all. *G* As you know, RL has been pretty difficult for me lately, but I'm trying (albeit slowly) to get back in the groove. Rest assured, I'm working on an update, which I'll post as soon as I can. ("Something lickable"---hmmm. I'll have to see what I can do. :D)
*Skips off to buy you a double-dip strawberry cheesecake ice cream cone covered in chocolate sprinkles*
