I did it. Spent almost 70 Euros for a ticket for the a-ha concert in October here in Munich...this is very close to the absolute limit; I'm not ready to pay more than 70 Euros for one of those concerts - unless it's David Bowie, of course, for who I would willingly spent almost anything. But a-ha have been one of those heroes of my youth, and I ( Read more... )

70 Euros is mental.

I remember paying 40 Marks for Genesis tickets in 93' and vowing never to pay more than 50 Marks for a concert.

I already raised my limit to 50 Euro, but still.

*totally doesn't consider to fly to Canada to a Hugh Dillon concert*

Hey, concert ticket prices would be under 50 Euro. ;p

It is! What are they thinking, believing that people are able to afford such prices? I also think there's a difference if someone like Bruce Springsteen or Sarah Connor takes 60 Euros - some people have the right to be more costly than others, considering the quality of their music as well as the time they're around already.

Hugh Dillon is worth a lot, I agree, voice, music, acting, looks and all - perfect package. But a flight to Canada? Think of your carbon footprint ;oP!!

And I'm one to talk...considering that David Bowie will only very slowly (if at all) return to the sages, it's all too easy announcing my unlimited generosity when it comes to bujying tickets ;o).

Yeah, I find it especially unfair when Sarah Connor or Tokio Hotel or those other acts that are mostly financed by teenagers put their price tickets up that high. But I guess it is their fair right as long as people pay for it.

Wait. You actually know Hugh Dillon? Have I pimped him to you before? Or have you seen stuff of his and listened to his music? Why can't I remember that?

Oh, right. You were gone for ages! :p

My carboon footprint is fine. Even if I add a flight to Canada, it would probably still be way under German average.

Also, I did buy a few off-sets during last years Project for Awesome. So all is good there. ;p

And even if not:

HUGH!!!!!!!!!!

We have some relatives in Canada with whom we're in contact from time to time. Nothing too close, but my brother's already been over (though years ago...) and got to listen to some Headstones while he was there. He was quite excited about them, that's how I got to "know" Hugh Dillon and picked up a bit of his career here and there. Lately, especially in Flashpoint.
