AIM convo CR, so very unedited. And also lacking the first half of the RP. Eh. Read at your own risk.

Set after Tyki finds out about beautifulalias's Tyki.

Alex: "I'd stick to contemplating it, let those who know how to sort through the good and the bad handle it. /won't let you know three of that kind exist./ As frustrating, disgusting, and vile as it is - you've let it be known you're not running up a bloody alley and hollering fish. and I can't decide if that's better or worse than. 'Hello I'm the 14th, yes this is my current body I didn't devour your nephew/lover/brother/friend/what have you to get it. or Hello 14th top of the morning to you, you aren't devouring a version of my sister's first life are you/do i have to put your arse up between your shoulders?' They're both bad. /thoughtful moment before he sighs./ No, no she didn't. In my experience, both as the assassin of the duke - and as a man, there will always be those dismal moments where horrible things happen and there's not a damn thing you can do about it."

Tyki: "Oh I'm not that impulsive, it's just disgruntling." /small mercy at least? That does get a laugh out of him though, and he has more brandy/ "This place is never bloody boring in all the ways it should be, I'll give it that. No, none of it's a good idea." /he swirls the alcohol in his cup, thoughtful/ "... I know that one well enough. I do them all the bloody time. There's just a few I'd rather not have my face attached to. But it can't be helped." /he's still him, and Joyd, nothing resembling an altruist or idealist, but if things keep on like this, he may start questioning his loyalties. At least in the DR./ "So enough about me."

Alex: "Yes, it is and if you bide your time the moment to strike will present it's self. /Making sure to watch the level of brandy in that bottle./ "Never, and according to what I've heard it can get positively loony. /He knows and lightly ducks his head in acknowledgement./ Nor I and I'm more than aware of the darker versions of myself. /He snorts/ and the stupid ones. While it can't be helped, when its front of you...No man with a sense of honor could overlook it." /a pause to set down a bottle of scotch and pour himself a glass of it./ "Dwelling never helps, so yes time for a different subject."

Tyki: "Biding my time was never a strong point." /He's slowing down now, thinking about things./ "Delightful. How do you avoid it?" /A nod back. He hasn't really bonded with... Any 14ths. He's mostly not sure what to make of them, but you seem alright. Even if he has to agree there are some stupid verions of you around/ "... Honor huh? If you want to call it that." /He's pretty sure it's nothing so noble, just pride. But whatever it is it gets the same reaction in the end; loathing, disgust and his desire to reject./ "So tell me about yourself, since we're two gentlemen with time and alcohol on hand."

Alex: "Comes with age and experience." /he shrugs and downs his scotch./ "You don't, you deal with it as it comes." /Really stupid, it embarrasses him every day./ "Your honor has been tarnished, hasn't it? At the very least you pride dented." /Whatever it is, the reaction is what counts./ "I've gained a body in this life by birth, I was reincarnated along with Allen Walker, and my brother. ...Allen became Allison, you might know her. She's been here a rather long time." /A pause/ "...And you my boy, are not the first assassin the Earl employed. My means were more traditional but, the job is what it is."

Tyki: /Ah, age and experience. His old foe./ "Shoulda guessed." /He feels for you, he'd be embarrassed himself./ "One or the other I suppose. Close enough." /He does have some version of honor maybe, but it really is the reaction that counts./ "...Yep, I know the girl." /So you're her brother, you get a thoughtful look./ "What made you quit?" /he doesn't mind killing but he doesn't like running errands But he wonders what changed your mind./

Alex: /That makes him pause and he tilts his head slightly to the side./ "I learned the truth. Not the initial plans or lies they tell you about being a Noah. The real things, it was much more complicated than that - I'm afraid. But that was the start of the road. Somewhere along the line, I made a decision. I'm only sorry my blood relation and his adopted son had to pay for it."

Tyki: /Okay that's an intriguing vaguness. He leans forward./ "You just told me jack all, you realize. What 'truth'? What plans and lies?"

Alex: "I'm aware. The truth is as hosts we mean nothing. we're batteries until we are devoured by the Noah. That is our purpose. To provide a vessel until it quite literally snuffs us out."

Alex: "Within our own bodies. We will cease to exist and all that remains will be the memories. Walking again to end this bloody war in wiping the earth entirely clean of all life. Including them."

Tyki: /he grimaces. Hearing you say it so bluntly... But wait back up./ "What?"

Alex: "What do you think remove all humanity means, a birthday party?"

Tyki: /that gets a dirty look/ "I thought the general idea was 'except us'. Why should I believe you?"

Alex: "Except us, means you'll be dead and Joyd will gallivanting around in the body he stole from you. You don't have to believe me, its what was true in my world not yours."

Tyki: /What can he say to that? He knows it's true. At least the first part. The second is disturbing something deeper within him though. He takes another drink, and when he speaks again it's not him, just briefly not him at all./ "Did you tell the rest of the family?" /Joyd's not pleased with your world./

Alex: "Why do you think I was hunted down like a dog and murdered? I tried, and I was destroyed for it."

Alex: /hardly reacts to the switch, but his hands shift subtly, ready to fight if the need comes./

Tyki: /the glass of brandy is set down very calmly./ "And when you returned, did you bother trying to tell them?" /There won't be a fight, probably. He doesn't have enough control over Tyki, the fact that they were both in sync right then let him slip forward for the present, it won't last/

Alex: "I tried. I've tried over and over even in this life. The iron noose holds on far too strong, I suppose."

Tyki: "You slipped it. How did you manage, when you cannot even loosen this supposed noose's hold on your family?"

Alex: "Marian. Marian Cross is how I slipped the noose entirely. For a while...I also suppressed my Noah to be human. This life was supposed to give them all a choice. The choice they didn't have before."

Tyki: /he leans his elbow on the table, chin in his palm, there's that slow, monster grin./ "Human, brother? When we're bound by time and through a thousand lifetimes of blood and memories. You tell me you" /one moment of dissonance here, the grin twists. Joyd hates not having the body as his already, stfu Tyki he's talking to family here. What was he saying?/ "You can suppress that to become simply, merely, human. What we are is too old for that. Choice has no part in it."

Alex: /He leans forward with a cold light in his eyes, like a wolf baring its teeth./ "Your hosts can do that yes, resist you as long as possible brother. Old as you are, there are things far older in this world - from the time long before the clan. There will always be a choice."

Tyki: /the grin gets wider, more feral, if possible./ "Don't speak as if you're any different than I. Suppressed? How many lifetimes do you recall, how many wars that were all one war, this long, bloody war. You don't feel the urges, brother? Not even a bit? The desire and the pleasure and the music of everything we are, you choose to turn your back on it. But it will ever wait for you to return." /his voice lowers, soft, half mocking and half sultry./ "You are family dear brother, you have no choice in that. You will always be among us even when you deny yourself."

Alex: "/He grits his teeth so hard it feels like they're going to crack. And it all changes, a feral twisted smile twisting his features as he laughs./ "I remember them, I feel the urges yes. Every day they're there calling but, unlike you I know enough about control to resist them." /He lowers his voice to match Joyd's and his expression is cold./ "I do not deny I am connected to you as one of the chosen. I am one of the Noah forever, yes. But true blood has always been thicken than memories and fools of eras long past that cowardly devour others to survive."

Tyki: "Control or denial? You are what you are, you cannot simply cease to be everything that you are because you have suddenly decided to buy ridiculous thoughts on humanity." /he sneers, fingers flexing,/ "True blood? You really have grown amusingly..." /you know he'd love to stay and chat, he has a lot of nasty things to say regarding control and resistance and humanity and everything like that, but Tyki? Just won't have the good grace to disappear yet. The damned host should know his place and die quietly. But instead the expression on the man's face twists grotesquely, and his hand slips up to clutch over his face, his hollow eyes and twisted smile becoming shadowed and hidden. For a moment he does nothing but remain like that, and then Tyki reaches forward quietly and picks up the brandy glass, his other hand still over his face. He downs the contents and shudders, trying not to clutch at the scars that ache./

Alex: "You misunderstand me. I am what I am, yes but it will not be my master nor will humanity. I will walk with my own feet and decide things with open eyes instead of moving to puppet strings. You can let the good lord Earl put his hand up your arse like the good little boy you are, I'll always think before I open my mouth or prattle on like the Spanish inquisition. Now do leave, you're making my alcohol taste bad. /He doesn't say a word when tyki takes control again. His hand keeps a tight grip of his sleeve until he's drinking again. There's a glint of steel in his sleeve as he resettles./ I apologize, I didn't mean to trigger that."

Tyki: /Joyd will have plenty to say to that the next time he drops by for a brotherly visit. He heard all that, just like you meant him to. Tyki on the other hand just pours himself another drink. He sees the steel, he's too drained and tired and has an amazing migraine... He's just not going to comment./ "Not your fault." /His words are clipped and terse, but that's mainly the ouch, don't mind him. He'd apologize himself but he's not in the mood. He just kicks back this glass too, though when he tries to pour another he has to just. Stop. And stare at his hands. Which are shaking too badly to do much. Fuck they are his hands, right? They're listening to him now, anyway, not Joyd./

Alex: "/He reaches over and pours Tyki's next glass himself. He sits back and rubs his temples./ "Either way I'm sorry. I suppose this is what Marian meant by old magics are pain the ass. ..." /good lord topic change./ "...How exactly do you know my sister if I may ask?"

Tyki: /Alex gets a nod, a grateful nod, and that glass is knocked back as well. If he remembers anything of this bloody night--he doesn't particularly intend to, and it shows by how he's drinking--he'll remember to ask about old magic./ "She took me raptor hunting. And then to a tiki bar." /thank god topic change. Allison is a good topic. Yes./ "And then introduced me to bay watch. I have to say I'm fond of your sister, all told."

Alex: /He raises an eyebrow, and his lip quirk slightly with a faint smile./ "Ah, Baywatch. No man alive can resist that. ...You're quite proud of the old tales about Tiki aren't you? If she told you that is."

Tyki: /he is slowly relaxing back into his chair, still tense but he does grin at that./ "She's educational to be around. No I dare say the appeal of your future and it's entertainment is without compare." /another glass, this one... He may actually take the time to taste, which is good, it's good brandy./ "Of course I am. You know me so well."

Alex: "I feel spoiled some days with my time's achievements. Very comfortable living, and don't repeat this but I eat the instant food as much of the rest of the walker household." /those damn pizza bites are delicious./ "I just know egos. Marian gets the same way about the Marian Cross."

Tyki: "I think you're entitled. New York was interesting, fun as hell. And your secret is safe with me." /he's still fascinated by the toaster, himself. But instant food is the best invention ever./ "Hah! I'm not surprised, sometimes being self-centered and egotistical is just the thing though, really." /it works for him! Why not the General?/

Alex: "Ah, I know just the place you'd enjoy even more than New York. Las vegas. Gambling, alcohol, women - you name it and its there. The lagest place for a gambler or a man of chance to go." /Wait until he is introduced to the toaster oven. Or the blender./ "It is, it is. When you're feeling horrible just remind yourself of those ego boosts. For all the cursing my name that goes on I just remember there was an Alexander the Great that conquerored much of the known world of his time."

Tyki: /you have his interest!/ "Las Vegas, huh? If I ever get a chance with this place... I'll be sure to take it. It sounds like heaven." /hell it'd be nice to loose himself in the city of sin and forget about being anything but a gambler and a goodnatured near-do-well again. That would be nice. Also if you or Allison introduce him to the toaster oven or blender you may see his eyes sparkle. And then imminent need to put everything in one or the other. BECAUSE HE CAN. He loves your future tech, he sincerely does/ "We've all got some legacy to live up to, eh? Not bad, conqueror. Planning any world domination back home I should be making bets on?"

Alex: "For those with you kind of interests it is." /It would be nice. ...Oh the blender is a must. For the hilarity./ "We certainly do. Me? I plan to dominate a pizza next time I run across one. Then devour it before my sister has a clue its around."

Tyki: "Not into pleasure and gambling?" /yes. He'll drop a fork in it. At least once. And also blend up the weirdest, worst stuff ever./ "Hm, knowing your sister not sure I'm willing to bet on you in that one. But you have my sincere support regardless."

Alex: "I'm more of a music and pleasure type - not that I mind gambling." /Luckily storage has plenty of blenders in it./ "The portalable pit yes, love her dearly but its so frustrating if she gets to what you want first."

Tyki: "You'll have to show me what you consider a fun time some time then, I'm for trying anything onces." /He will go through quite a few./ "I don't envy you growing up with that. I don't even know where the lass puts it all. How'd you manage not to starve?"

Alex: "I'll remember that." /Those poor blenders./ "There's places you can buy food in bulk. That's where we got our supplies from since we have to feed Marian's zoo too."

Tyki: /they will die in the name of science! or manly amusement. And blended food./ "That man keeps a zoo." /vague horror/ "I'd figure food in bulk would be the only way to feed your sister, reasonably."

Alex: /Or all three!/ "Yes he does. He got a cheetah last time we were home. ...an another alligator for the lake." /its horrifying./ "There's also energy bars and high calorie foods like take out places serve. Still takes too much."

Tyki: "... I'm sorry." /that's sincere. Because he is sorry you live with Marian and a zoo full of predators. That's scary even for him./ "... Isn't she with your world-me? How do you..." /feed them both?

Alex: "/See this twitch, its awkward to refer to his baby sister in a relationship./ "...Yes, she is. ..." /a pause/ "We bill the Order for it."

Tyki: /If he didn't owe you for being a gentleman he'd tease you. Another thing to remember for later, but it's cute. Siblings are just awkward, aren't they?/ "Hah!" /that genuinely amuses him/ "So the Order has to take up those bills, how do they feel about it?"

Alex: /Yes they really are awkward. So awkward./ "Last I heard it was somewhere along the lines of while it is necessary - holy lord. Mind you they're paying for four parasite users food bills."

Tyki: /he knows man, he knows. Siblings, sob, why do they make life difficult?/ "Ahahah, I don't envy them the bill. Your General still rack up the debts, or is it just the food bills this time?"

Alex: "...Marian still wracks up some debt. Certain legal laws prevent it from being like it used to be. /but note that twitch./

Tyki: "... Some in comparison to..?" /he notes it. He lives you, easier to get along with in some ways than your sister--possibly because he is not unconsciously being SEXIST at you all the time. But who knows. Not that he doesn't like and get along with Allison just dandy.

Alex: "...He used to create enough debt that the money paid back to start a country and keep it alive. /Betting its the sexist part and because we're both noahs./"

Tyki: "So what's it now, just a small island's worth? A king's ransom?" /he's grinning, genuinely/ "You sure have an interesting family." /probably just a bit of both. It's oddly easy to relax around you, even considering being barely acquainted and Joyd being an asshole./ "Sounds like your life is never dull."

Alex: "Right around there. /He smiles wrily and sighs./ "Aye, I like this life. Its never boring and its a lot happier." /Like having a big brother around that you can talk to whenever you like?/ "Never a dull moment, especially after Marian got that...humvee. Its a very large moving vehicle with very large wheels."

Tyki: "How do you deal with it?" /he can't he imagine how Cross manages to do that./ "It sounds nice. And I like the not boring part. The future seems like a more fascinating place every time I hear about it." /Yes, like that. A brother that's more like a brother and not... Cyril./ "... What exactly does he do with his ... Hum vee?"

Alex: "Bill the order with things I can slip through the loop holes, and manage the rest as it comes." /its amazing./ "Its very fascinating, I agree I rather like it better. There's much more to see. /Yeah, not to worry Alex never bad touches anyone. He might kill in inventive ways but no badtouch/ ".../twitch/ Drive it everywhere and I do mean everywhere."

Tyki: "... I'd have just changed my name gone to africa and grown a beard but your way sounds responsible." /it's a miraculous and frightening talent/ "I'm sort of jealous. Not that I dislike my time, but the toys you guys have can't be beat." /he's getting that impression. Hell he'd be more worried about Joyd being inappropriate really. Which is admittably a legit concern./ "... Everywhere, how everywhere?"

Alex: "I've been told that. Harder to commit crimes in my time. More of a challenge I guess." /If harnessed think of what you could do with it./ "Humanity impresses me at times, after seeing the era unfold I was shocked. ...We're even poking at space - way, way up in the sky beyond where the sky ends and the stars begin." /It really is. He's not a prude just family is family./ "...let me show you." /using soundwaves creates an illusion of a mountain and the humvee...driving right up the side no problem./

Tyki: /no one's told him about computers/ "How is that?" /it could be a power for ruining countries./ "Space? That's... Amazing." /he's impressed./ "What have they managed to do out there in the ether?" /Tyki tends to agree, but Joyd is a big old unknown. Aside from being a bastard./ "..." /okay one, that's pretty neat. Two, that's just.../ "Did I mention you have the most interesting family?" /he's not sure whether to laugh or rub his temples.

Alex: "New technology, like computers and tracking systems. There's a system that pinpoints your location on the world, ...not to mention space monitoring equipment." /Or building a super country/ "...Yes, never been up there but, very fascinating. They've been to the moon! and studied other planets beyond ours. With equipment that mintors and takes pictures. Like golems in a way." /Yeaah marian's special./ "You did, but its true. He's jealous of Allie's bike. It..." /a pause because he had heart attack about it once./ "...goes over 400 miles an hour."

Tyki: "Computers..? .... How do they do that? They can watch you from space?" /this is a very derpwut expression. Also yes, you could do that with Cross's powers, potentially. If you could keep him from then sending it into poverty./ "The moon! What was there?" /here he's going to clap your shoulder in a brotherly sympathetic fashion. In silence. Marian is trying to outmanly Allison or something, it must be nervewracking./

Alex: /insert dumbed down explanation here/ "There's a lot on the moon but its mostly craters and dust. Which is interesting anyways! The closest planet to ours is mars, a little red oh hang on." /disappears briefly and comes back with a laptop. After loading it and booting up a space map he points to mars. Piccccturesss./

Tyki: /Tyki sort of follows it, okay and now he's fascinated. When the laptop loads--which is all spiffy in itself--he's just going to hover over Alex's shoulder and ooooh and ahhhh at everything. Seriously the future is COOL. And he keeps pointing and asking about stuff, screw getting drunk and weird Noah shenanigans, this just became totally all about SPACE./ "So that's a galaxy...? And that's what Mars really looks like... That looks like a face--no go back, what's that picture..." /yep your stuck with him like this for a while./
