I sang in choir in college, but it was more laid-back than I wanted. Then again, I didn't have time for the competition a capella group at that point, either. I've thought about getting back into it since then, but life keeps getting in the way.

Ah yes, most of the girls wanted to be sopranos! There were only four of us in second alto -- I definitely didn't have the range for soprano, but my low range was great -- but we held our own. I really think some of it is the mindset. Altos have to be able to pick out the harmony parts instead of the melody, so a lot of people find the soprano parts easier to hear in their mind.

Ooh, that's a hard one. Okay, let's try my top three:

Anna Begins. I love Counting Crows as a band, and I love the way they play off each other and riff through the songs -- and this is definitely a good performance.

Up All Night. *hugs this song* It captures for me that feeling when it's almost dawn and you've been awake waaaay too long but it feels like everything is possible.

Kid Things , which makes me get up and dance every single time I hear it.
