Do I post it on the community it's associated with? Post it on mine with a link or announcement somehow to there? And does the ( Read more... )

Rhonda, I'm at work but I'd be happy to walk you through this when I get home, if no one else jumps into the fray beforehand.

Either way. Check the community's rules. If you go over the length limit in sentinel_thurs, for example, a link back to your own journal is perfectly acceptable.

And does the linky thing that they like you to use to hide the bulk of the writing option jump out at you? IE, easily done?

Easily done, but it doesn't 'jump'. Here's a post with basic HTML codes. Making cut-tags is with the links section, about halfway down.

Off-topic :-), but I was just reading snycock's latest fic and happened to read your comment and I see you're new to LJ and just wanted to say hi. And you're both a TS fan and an HTLJ fan -- cool!

It gets better fast. :-) starwatcher307's info is tons of help and it's such a fun place to play. (And it's very cool that you plan to post fic!)

Herc was my first fandom too (except I didn't really think of myself as a real fan of anything until a year or so ago, when I started meeting some TS people). They've started doing the RLJ eps again, I think; I can't even keep up with everything I want to in TS right now so I haven't been visiting the Iolausian Library to see, though. Too many heroes, not enough time. ::sighs::
