Here I am, living on the outskirts of Ann Arbor, MI, five miles from campus. And I'm thinking, it'd be great to have that as a goal--start biking to school sometime soon, even though it's up a giant hill ( Read more... )

And, well, I'd rather be fat and happy than be the thinner and vastly fucked-up suicidal girl I was in my twenties, and the important people in my life agree with that.

A-bloody-men! (And that goes double for me.)

Having unexpectedly lost enough weight in the last two months to have casual acquaintances come up to me and congratulate me (wtf?) I'm at that flabby fat stage that always makes me cringe at mirrors more than big sleek fat me does.

But at least people don't honk at fat mama pushing a stroller in the suburbs. Hope other elements of your neighborhood don't suck so much.
