Fabulous holiday weekend
So, on Thursday, the dad-in-law flew and I to Tahoe. Timeline: Friday was pretty lazy; Derek took off to go to Redmond for some plane foo, and G and his mom played some golf. Pride and . . .
Just saw the Joe Wright Pride and Prejudice film from last year and cried my eyes out. It was excellent, but a much deeper, darker treatment than the A&E series from years ago. Very wrenching, and shadowy and quiet, with a lot of introspective moments and not so many laughs. I still liked it, though. More of a modern treatment, I think, with ( Read more... ) -

Practice: an hour and a half of focused work on Arianna a Naxos and the Dvorak Gypsy Songs. GO ME!!!
Homework: Still have to draft a paper before Wednesday and do analysis of Brahms Variations on a Theme by Haydn-must get score tomorrow
Exercise: Nil. I came home and crashed for three hours instead. :p -

Sleep deprivation, theme and variation analysis, and complicated chart knitting all together. And THEN, SHARKS HOCKEY!!! And winning, yay!

Whine alert . . . sick AGAIN
OK, so I went home the weekend of 1/14, after the first lovely week of school . . . and Graham was sick, and gave me his nice cold to take back to school with me.
