A bit of my art history

Once upon a time I had a rubber stamp business called True West Designs. From 1990 to about 2002, I created line drawings of horses and other animals and made rubber stamps out of them. When I started making stamps  in 1990, there were only a handful of art stamp companies out there and it hadn't caught on nationwide.

Julie, I'll post some pics of the paintings I did while at the painting workshop.

I enjoyed the class, the weather was great and we painted by the American River, which is a wonderful spot.

Wow!! That's fantastic! It's great to have royalties coming in, isn't it? I wish I didn't have to split mine 50% with my licensing agent, but, I haven't gotten any on my own yet. The good thing is that they don't represent my oils or watercolors, only the pastels, so I am free to hook up with any of those images. What did you do to get the license deals, if I may ask?

In the case of Back In The Saddle, I didn't do much to get the licensing deal as they called me about using my design on the canisters.

I have a feeling they might like your horse petroglyph art for use on something. The owner's name is Lynn Wolf, you can email her pics of your art. It takes awhile for things to happen but they are excellent folks to do business with.

Caren welcome back and congratulations on the licensing! And I'm so glad you and Ceci know each other because I thought of her when you posted this.

Erika, thank you! I'd love to do more licensing, I'm always combing resources for more possibilities. I like Ceci's petroglyph horses a lot, too, her art would work on a lot of different products.
