Tonight's Sunset

Fires in the area have made the skies smoky, but it also made the sunset nice and pinky orange tonight. Some crows flew by just as I was photographing the sky.

Hi Caren, I'm brand new to livejournal. I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy the photos you post. I'm also a painter and I know how important good photo reference is. I was wondering if you would ever be open to selling any of your photos that I could then use for my paintings. Being an artist, I wouldn't be able to pay alot, but I'm sure we could probably work something out. I've taken Scott Christensen's pleinair workshop, and love the Wyoming/Montana area. The problem is that I live in Minnesota. Beautiful, yes, but not exactly the West. I'm particularly interested in your horse/ landscape photos, but I can use bits and pieces to make a painting. I hope I'm not breaking any rules posting this. If you're not interested, I understand, but I wanted you to know how much I appreciate your photos. Thanks

Hi Steve, thanks for seeking me out. I saw your paintings and they are excellent. Congratulations on your award at the OPA show! Wow!

I have been visiting this site much lately, but your photos continue to impress me - they are so beautiful.

I finally saw Taylor in concert last Friday and he blew me away! What an awesome performer he is.

Hi Judi, thanks for posting the link to your Idol concert photos. My Utah Taylor photos weren't that great, either...the stage lighting washed him out. But I enjoyed seeing your photos, they were interesting and insightful.

I was into photography in another lifetime, too. I now just photograph for myself but I did a lot of semi-professional racetrack photography years ago. I used to live in Louisville and Lexington. Thanks for stopping by and posting the links. I'll be going to an upcoming Idol concert and I'll see what I can get, photo-wise. I also will probably post another long-winded review of the concert!
