Lisa, Hamilton is about 4,000 people, but there's about 40,000 people spread out throughout the valley, which is about 75 miles long and maybe 20 miles wide.

Hi Caren,
Not sure you subscribe to your blog's comments but I am finally able to steal away and comment on your handsome show congrats congrats!!! How does it feel to have officially shown solo? Not too shabby since you made sales, and you already know I admire your work! (((hugs))) I've had a few solo shows and I have to tell you, I am nervous at any reception I am a part of- I suppose it's stage fright. And I love how you were able to pull yourself together physically and emotionally with the power going out ;)

I will have my first solo shows in my new town next year and I'm already nervous. I'm mostly nervous about financing all the framing at this stage. Anyway, I wanted to be sure I congratulated you YAY for you! xox Erika

Erika, thanks so much for commenting! It was indeed an strange feeling to have a show that was all about "me", as I am not a spotlight person. Once people started showing up I was fine, it was the anticipation that really gets you. I'm glad it's behind me but I want to do it again soon!!! Can't wait for your show! My best advice (not that you need any) is to get the art ready as far in advance as possible, it takes some of the anxiety out of it.
