Just back from a road trip to Colorado.
I just want to report a few impressions of the recent Denver American Idol concert, which I attended. I had some preconceived notions to reconcile due to reading previous Idol concert reviews, and I was interested to see if the critiques were true. Thanks, Junebear! I had a great time at the concert, glad you enjoyed the photos, you never know how they are going to come out, I was very pleased with most of what I got.

Very nice journal. Even though I was directed her the above mentioned subject, I did enjoy looking through the rest of it. I like your acknowledgment of Paul turning 64! (Too bad the answer to the question in this song turned out to be - No!)

Anyhoo, I run a website of Katharine concert materials - http://www.katsconcerts.com. I would like to use your picture of her and the group picture on our currently very bare Denver page. And the relevant parts of your review of the concert. Also - do you have any more pictures of Katharine?

btw - some of those pics are fantastic the ace/mandisa one in particular.

Simon, I think I do have more good pictures of Kat, I'll have to check and see what I've got. You may use any of my pictures on your website. I assume you saw my link to the additional photos I have on photobucket, beyond what is posted on this journal entry.

Yes I am, though I've watched less and less as the years went by because the hubby is not as enthusiastic about it. I like Simon's input most of the time. But I hope you don't disown me that I was rooting for Elliott, however I do acknowledge he needs more seasoning. I am so appalled that he was chewing gum while performing - what's up with it???

Erika, I was rooting for Elliott the last few weeks. He didn't impress me at first, but he made such great strides during the final few weeks that I finally realized he deserved my vote, so I voted for him many times. He really won me over. It was heartbreaking when he lost out.

Though Taylor was always #1 for me, I truly appreciated all of the Idols. I even voted for Kevin Covais a few times because I appreciated his efforts. How many people could get as far as he did?

As far as Elliott chewing gum, it wasn't real obvious. But I was amazed that he would even consider having something in his mouth while singing. I also have heard that he smokes, which is a real, real, real bummer.
