How to make roaming profiles suck less

Roaming profile support kind of sucks. First, since it is a two-way sync, things that get deleted on a computer may not get properly deleted in the profile. This causes files to come back from the dead. It's disconcerting to say the least. Also, it takes godawful forever to log on and log off when the profile starts to get big. Since,
