R.I.P. Walter Reinhold

one of my best teachers ever passed away yesterday. he was brilliant and hilarious. i knew people who, after passing all four semesters of music history, still went to his lecutes because they were so good and he was so entertaining.

big ups, reinhold. we'll miss you.

i wanted to cry when i read that. i loved him so. hes probably my all time favorite teacher other than my 3rd grade teacher miss testa. she was another teacher who had no kids...their teaching was their life. the kids they taught were like kids.

thats the saddest thing i've read in a while. i just had a close family member lose his battle with cancer so it strikes a chord.

not to mention that he's completely right about new musicians.
