You know what I hate?
I hate being sick.
I hate that the first time I have called in sick, they tell me not to make it a habit.
I hate that even after that warning, they call me three times in one day to see if I am going to be in tomorrow, with the understanding that if I am not I will be fired.
I really hate being sick.

LAME! Definitely start looking around for something else. Things like that are one of the reasons I, again, love my job. I can actually call in needing a mental health day.

That is not normal. If your benefits include paid sick days and your manager is harrassing you that way for taking ONE day, something is wrong with him. Write down what happens, including time you called in, times of the followup calls, and what was said. If the manager is as weird as he sounds like... you may need to take some kind of action eventually, so you might as well start keeping notes.

If your company has no paid sick time, they should at least have a clear policy on what you are supposed to do about unpaid time off when you are too sick to work.
