Options 1 and 3 are way, way better than option 2. A lot more work, but a much nicer end result.

Between 1 and 3, either could work. I'd probably vote for 1.

I vote for option 1. It looks more consistant, and higher quality. Plus, it's honestly easier to clean, and less work to put together. Everyone wins!

Tile everywhere(walls, floors, ceiling), drain in the center of floor.

Time to clean the bathroom? Bleach + scrub brush + showerhead-on-hose = 5 minutes flat.

Don't I wish that were practical.... but it would require a lot more destruction than I care to do this month.
