Thank you. It is of course, a given that I will spend many hours in my future fettling these noble steeds. ;)

I think you need to be added to the list of people who get reminded that I live within easy walking distance of this: http://didsburycarshow.org/ :-)

I wouldn't normally say I'm the type of person to show my cars, (I enjoy looking at other people's) but given how nice TC looks in the sunshine I can see I'll have to keep on top of the shinyness. I have to admit to already going out with a soapy cloth to deal with birdcrap. :)

Nice brown Dolly in the 2012 piccies. It's amazing just how many local shows there are round the country. I would have gone to the show at Sherborne castle except that it was just when I was busiest with father's house.

Nice! That's some spares kit...

Yes! The previous owner replaced the entire engine and gearbox (along with all the peripherals) because the gearbox was noisy. But he couldn't find the exact gearbox and so had to replace engine/propshaft as well. He was planning a refurbishment and the sale of the car included all spares 'if required'. Seriously? Who turns down spares on a 40yr old car ( ... )

I can just picture the classic car owner trundling along with an entire spare engine and gearbox in their boot "just in case"...

Very sweet deal, and a looker, too. Gearheads of the World salute you!

Thank you. I'm very happy with it. I've spent the afternoon going through the spares and tidying them away in the hope that if I get the Herald started tomorrow I can get it out of the garage. Just cleaning the plugs on TC has made me a lot more inclined to dive into the fuel system on the Herald.
