6 days. 6 bloody days and it's not as if those 6 days are stress free with sorting out all his clothes and figuring out what else he might need. Given there was clearly some decay, from the look of bit that's broken off, I would imagine so. But he has a very high pain threshold and of course he doesn't understand things in the same way anymore. So having a toothache and knowing that we can get it sorted if he says something - or even just saying something to complain? I'm trying to figure out if the increased restlessness of the last few weeks can be linked to this. It's seemed that he's been spending fewer days sleeping, but it could equally be a development of the Alzheimer's. Certainly his increased appetite (especially for biscuits) doesn't seem to have been affected by whatever pain there might have been, which makes me feel a bit better.
