I have had the viral gastroenteritis a couple of times before and it is something I wouldn't wish upon anyone. The first go-round was actually the day the Pats won their first Super Bowl. We were supposed to be hosting a party for the event, and my not-yet-wife was bugging me to get out of bed and stop moaning like a little whiney bitch. After I walked out of the bedroom, doubled over in pain, unable to stand up fully, she took me to the ER. I spent the entire game, and that night, in the ER and admitted to the hospital. I heard it was a good game.

Anyway, hope you're feeling better. I know your pain.

And, as that Super Bowl party is an annual thing, you know we held it anyway. Sort of. By the time we got Eric to the ER, we couldn't reach everyone to cancel the party. So a friend staying with us became the host-designate and had the enviable task of taking care of the guests we couldn't reach - and explaining why we weren't there. I did manage to see the Pats win the game, though.

I hope you're feeling much better and fast - that deal is sheer misery.
