Weird thing is, I am jealous of myself. I went to Europe way back in the 80's and I have forgotten a lot of things, and I was too young to appreciate it as much as I would now. I want to go back!
I've never been there at all... Maybe one day. I can understand why my grandmother came to a country that's as far from Europe as possible, but it does make it awfully expensive to get anywhere.

Ah! So you've been to the most famous suicide spot in England - Beachy Head, the equivalent of the Golden Gate bridge. Did you know that at the time? It's terrifying just to stand there and know you could easily jump if you wanted. The sea is especially blue and inviting there, too...
Hey Carla! It's a great set of pictures of those places you managed to find. I'm jealous too! I've only been outside South Africa once - in 1990, I was on a trip to the beautiful country of Namibia. I also now wish I could go there again. But Europe, certainly I'd like to go there some day! In fact I also dream of visiting America sometime.
Well I love my country and find it breathtakingly beautiful, and there are so many places *close* to me that I still want to visit and visit again and again! But it would still be nice to go to some far-away places too. Australia, certainly ... I actually have relatives living there. New Zealand too.
Carla I certainly and desperately wish to post some of my artwork here on LiveJournal! I'm actually hoping that this site could help invigorate my Webshots site. I just have to figure out how to do this stuff!!!

Far away places aways have allure.
Vildur Beest, I hope you will post some of your artwork in your journal by linking to Webshots the way I did here.
