Vienna, part 1
Saltzburg Vienna, the latest part of my journey Vienna is also very famous for its Wiener Walder - Vienna’s forest, which is situated in the supberbs and can be easily reached by city bus.
We used the Brown line of the underground to move to the station of buses that came to the forests, and to our surprise, when we moved to the station Spittelau, the line get out on the ground and we saw beautiful streets and when we reached Spittelau,we saw a mind blowing creation of HUNDERTWASER whose house we've seen earlier- garbage burning plant which excist with the phylosophy of a harmless and environmently friendly human action.
We took some photos and continue our trip to the forest - kahlenberg with the old church and perfect view to the Vienna, and Leopoldsberg with old fortress built due to victory of turkish soldiers.
Then we walked for long throught the forest and it was such A full of garmony with nature morning! Birds are charping and the smell of wet soil is in the air...... It's amazing! Also there is a full forest of fresh blackberry. yammey!!!
"OMG? I think we got lost here??"lol
After that walk we had a short trip to Grinzing, city supberbs with very cosy and smart houses.
Look how does the tram rails come with the surrounding, tram is going under the arch of the building, I think that's so amasing and it makes it all looks more cosy.
That houses reminded me our russian houses we called them Хрущевки (low-costing appartments which are not very big, they are wide spread over all Russia). These looks very similar but more clear and cosy)))))
Grinzig is also a city part where the numerous Hoirige are situated. Hoirige means "this year wine" and, and are very cozy bars, where the young delicious wine is served.
That bars that have the right and priveleges to serve a young vine from the recent year can hang fir tree branches on their door.
Of course we took a chance to drink some red wine, also I tastied amusing strudel with cottage cheese (as there weren’t anything vegetarian for the dinner). It was delicious and the wine was so too.
Then we take a tram and travelled throught picturesque supberbs to the city centre where we enjoyed beautiful Statdpark with monuments and small Vienna river. River is really very small. There were also many beautiful ponds with ducks and other birds and I like so much to feed birds and animals almost everywhere we go.
And there are also (as in any Vienna park) many monuments in honour of different composers - like that one Johann Strauss. ( It is probably one of my favourite austrian composer)
This day we had a trip to blow-minding Vienna Gasometer City.
It is something impressing and very unusual! They are gas containers that became unnecessary and insted of ruining it city authorities rebiult them into the shopping and entertaining centre, office buildings and even resedential!
We ended up that eveing in the city centre, where we suddenly found out a street full of pretty shops, like a huge book shop (sorry I have a passion to books and bookshops) or "everything" shop, where small crayons size of match or beautiful old advertising boards were sold.
Look how amasing is the tile on the roof of Stefansdum. It is interesting that we (Austria and Russian Federation I mean) have the similar national emblem - you see it there.
In the evening we had a cup of tea (or my Mum had a coffee with orange liquor) with Imperial pie in Imperial cafe. A pie has a stripe of marzipan covered with chocolate and that was amasing too, but I liked Sacher more. Interiors in that hotel cafe are super, they blow my mind! Old stylish, with vienners drinking coffee and reading papers...
The last sight we saw that evening was Ruprehtskirhe which considered to be the oldest church in Vienna. It is very specific, very gothic in all sences. The remains of st.Rupreht are held there and it was strange to see the whole his corpse in the church, but there are also amasing stained-glass window there.
