Why everyone should watch The Hour:
Because I have never seen another fictive source, period, where not only does the twentysomething male protag get to have a happy, joyful, no-strings, no-regrets, minimally awkward one-nighter with a gorgeous possibly bisexual colleague who happens to have a good two decades on him, but his quasiplatonic Girl Person can find out about it and be fine. Because these people actually like each other! And she actually understands that as long as she's not having sex with him, she has no jurisdiction!
Also, where the rich, spoiled, pretty, not-overburdened-with-brains wife of one-third of the central love triangle gets to have dignity and emotional depth. I mean, not that the right thing for Hector to do isn't to divorce her honorably, take the potential career hit, and have OT3 times with Freddie and Bel! Just, you know, wow, Marnie, wow.
Also, ABOUT that OT3, I am dizzyingly in love with it. I mean, seriously. They do awkward domestic! Hector likes who Bel is around Freddie! Freddie thinks Hector should dance with this woman! Bel can haz all the boys, and the boys so obviously have gotten to respect each other under all the badinage! They are all three good for each other, and that is one of the two ways to really endear a romantic grouping to me. (The other way, of course, being to have them be interestingly bad, but that can backfire. Hard.)
