I've noticed quite a few personal journals going into lockdown mode after the recent tempest. I went friends only over a year ago because I post about work and I became a bit paranoid about my employer stumbling onto my journal and sorting out my identity. Anyway, I'd love to stick around and read your journal if you're so inclined.
You are more than welcome to stick around. *grins and big hugs*
I think the lock down is a sensible idea for me too, regardless of the tempest. My interests were never that inflammatory but I've removed them all and added freedom of speech. It made me feel a bit better.
Friendslocking? Huh. Can't say I haven't thought about that myself, though I wonder why you're doing it -- I'd like to stay here, even if I rarely comment (seriously, work is about the only thing that doesn't cause me stress at the moment *glares at life in general*)
Hi hon:) Well I figure if this witch hunt continues, rps will be next on the list - which is where my interests pretty much lie these days. Who knows where it will end? All fan fiction banned, maybe?
It just seems prudent to lock my journal down until we work out how far they're going to go. I'm not purging my flist, just going to be friends onlying my posts from now on.
Heh, funny - work is the only thing that *does* stress me out these days!
Uh, yeah. I just caught up on the witch hunt. Christ on a crutch. I'm pretty tempted to friendslock the whole thing as well, but I have to wonder what good it'll do. They can still read the bios page, the interest page and I somehow doubt that they actually read the journal itself. It seems so far as if they're just targetted specific interests and then just wiped those out. Really, I read a fascinating entry on it.
I wonder if, in the end, I'll end up being one of those who has a password protected website as well *sighs*
I've been catching up since my reply to you, too. Just read the apology at news - ugh, they took their time, didn't they?
The best response I've read so far to the apology is by ladysunrope
I think 25000+ people signing up to fandom_counts in less than 24 hours has scared the shit out of Six Apart. I love how everyone in every fandom has clubbed together in protest.
