Political beliefs and jobs

I guess that I have always know this but have only really paid attention this morning after the US election result.  Certain jobs tend to attract certain kinds of people who have shared political views ( Read more... )

I think it influences where you find you fit in. After all, very few people settle down for the long haul in their first job.

That said, I'm actually finding myself more conservative about some things since joining the public service. I'm certainly much adamant about reducing government interference in things it really shouldn't be involved in. And I'm becoming much less pro-union and much more pro-negotiating my individual working conditions.

*shrug* But I've come to accept that my mix of political views never really fits in anywhere.

That makes sense, you work where you fit in, where you fit in depends upon a lot of things with one of them being political views.

Don't worry we will turn you into a Libertarian yet.
