My heel is hurting bad. Started Wednesday at a "Hmm, maybe I should replace these old shoes." level of soreness. I've gotten these sorts of aches and pains before. I usually just grab a handful of Advil and it's all gone next morning after a good sleep

Try Googling 'gout' and see if the symptoms match. Or perhaps a heel spur. But I heard that gout is tremendously painful.

Wikipedia says you get it in the ankles and big toe, too. Right now it's just the Achilles tendon and heel.

Sigh, turn 40 and stuff starts randomly breaking.
