Okay, for real now. Hannah has known Carlisle for a long time, as he's also from Newcastle. She pretty much thinks he's made of awesome most of the time and ignores the fact that he calls muggleborns mudbloods and as long as he doesn't go to far with how he feels, she's good. Meaning, don't randomly say he's going to murder a bunch of mudbloods. That would piss her off.
I think they fight a lot, right? Since they're both stubborn and they both think they're right and all that?
I can't quite remember, but that's how it is, right?
I believe that's how it is, yes! I can definitely see them having random ass fights about retarded things, too. OR POSSIBLY EVEN THINGS THAT AREN'T RETARDED. But yeah. Sounds about right to me.
AND... he won't randomly say he's going to go murder a bunch of mudbloods. Cause, really, he wouldn't mention it if he were going to go on a mass murder spree.
So, Carlisle and Derek probably don't get along...well. I think they'd manage to be alright around each other but definitely not friends. Unless Carlisle has been outspokenly anti-halfblood or muggleborn around him directly, Derek will tolerate him. He'll disagree, but he'll tolerate (especially now with the dating Hannah). He does think Carlisle is stiff though. Unless you want them to hate each other because I'm sure I could make that work too.
I think Derek definitely had to have done something when they first met that Carlisle gets to judge him on. In fact, it probably involved something lame in first year with him running straight into Carlisle as Derek and his best friends were running down the hall. Or even something at their first start of term feast before or after sorting? *shrugs* I'm up for better ideas.
WELL, if he ran straight into him? Carlisle would be like CLUMSY OAF! And possibly would think of Derek as the type of person to be RIDICULOULSY RUDE and CLUMSY and OAFISH. And, mostly, he'd probably keep his bitchy comments to himself. BUT an intial first impression like that could totally ruin his opinion of Derek, even though it's a small-as-fuck thing. *G*
He might be slightly more passive about the anti-mudbloods thing? Like, he is, and he'd definitely give his opinion on it if asked, if the opinion came up, and he'd just use the word in casual speech, but he wouldn't be like DIE, MUDBLOOD SCUM! all the time. If... that makes sense.
BUT, YEAH. They could totally hate each other, if you want! Or they could sort of kind of get along in a not really way.
XD I like the clumsy oaf impression. Especially as it's really not Derek- or at least not the kind of thing he hasn't grown out of.
Getting along but not really sounds good to me. Derek already has enough people on the hate list and it'd be nice if he and at least one of Hannah's friends could speak without throwing punches (other than Anora). Strained but usually polite then? A few snarky words thrown in here and there probably but over all they'll be civil. Or try to be. XD
Which makes it a way better impression than anything else. YAY for misinterpreting people!
And, alright! Sounds good to me, too. I'm sure I'll find more'n enough people for Carlisle to hate, after all. *G* And... yes! Snarky words but overall civilness sounds great to me. STRAINED BUT POLITE.
Um. It's possible I'm slightly hyper, so if I just sound babbly and not that much sense making? That's why.
BUT YAY, BACKSTORY. He will totes not throw punches. He prefers hexing.
Olivia - Obviously, she is in love with him she thinks Carlisle is an okay kid. Which actually says a lot when Olivia hates almost everyone. And they basically do well in the same classes. HOW WEIRD.
JFK - Well, Carlisle is a Slytherin so that isn't really a good thing in his books. Besides that, I guess they could get along. They both aren't really fans of muggleborns and Jamie needs more ELITIST friends. Plus, he's head boy. WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH HEAD BOY? Exactly.
CLEARLY THEY WERE MEANT TO BE... friends. Awesomesauce. Carlisle thinks it makes PERFECT sense that Olivia doesn't hate him, cause he's amazing... or something. He might be a tad arrogant. Whoops. BUT AWESOME. Friends. Woot.
JFK... CLEARLY THEY ARE fu buddies. Or something. Elitist friends ftw? Carlisle says Slytherins pwn the earth, but Ravenclaws aren't that far behind. At least compared to Gryffindors/Hufflepuffs. So, that's cool. Plus, JFK has a hot sister. >> Which, obvs, Carlisle won't actually care about cause that would be incestuous. (Because of teh player, obvs, not because of the um. Character blood ties.) BUT ANYWAY. I would be cool with friendliness. OR WHATEVERS! Yes. I might be a tad hyper. WHOOPS. Again. PLUS, who wouldn't want to be friends with the boy who gives the HEAD BOY.
This saddens me, Meegs, because I don't have a character at the moment who Carlisle would like... :(
Doesn't mean we can't have fun somehow, though. I'm sure a thread with him hating on one of my girls could be entertaining somehow.
I have two puffs:
mynameisanya is a 4th year halfblood. She had two twin brothers who were a year older than him who were really popular and kind of crazy -- he may or may not have gotten along with them. Taylor was more of like, a prankster while Darin was the charming, lady's man type -- both very fun loving and amazing. So I don't know if somehow him and Anya could know each other through that or what.
And then venusrefined is in the same year as him, although aside from being a puff she is also muggleborn. :/ so he would definitely look down upon her. How exactly do you think he would treat her, though? Because I'm sure they've had to have some kind of interaction. She's on the shy side and kind of an easy target in the sense that she trusts too easily. He probably couldn't make her cry, unless he did something extremely
( ... )
HMMM. Damn Hufflepuffs. *G* Let's see. I haven't got the slightest clue whether he would have gotten along with the twins. Uhhhh... There's a 100% higher chance that he'd be friendly to Anya as compared to how he'd be with Tegan. I think that's how you spell her name? ANYHOW... He'd probably make not exactly nice comments to Tegan on occasion. He is, apparently, a bit bitchy and mean. I have serious doubts that he and Tegan would be on good terms, because he certainly wouldn't be nice to her/respect her, really. UM. But there's still a chance that he'd be friendly with Anya. Not a very high chance, but it's possible if he had a really good first impression.
hahah. well Anya is quite ballsy and spunky and pretty darn cool for a younger year, so I don't know exactly what she could have done, but it could be likely he had some kind of good first impression on her.
And either way, threading when there is hate is always fun. although Tegan wouldn't so much hate him as just... be afraid of him and not appreciate the things he said to her.
Darn me for not having any of my other characters around! I so like him, but rawr! This is when I need my Slytherin Elitist back ;)
I'm happy to thread WHENEVER. With whoever. Friendly or unfriendly threading is all good. I could totally make the friendly-with-Anya thing work. 'cause... yes. Totally possible. (Granted, it's also 100% possible that he had a BAD first impression of her and thinks she sucks. But it'd be cool to have a friendly one, too.) GRANTED, he's jokingly mean to people he's friendly with. Mostly jokingly mean to people he's friends with.
