Thanks! I actually found that a few months ago, and it isn't that great really. For good Amtrak discussion, I reccomend Trainorders.com or Railroad.net (the latter I am/was a member of and posted in frequently for a while, but eventually got to busy for that. I wish I was as lucky as you Amtrak wise this year--It looks like another year of just NEC to Conn. and also to Charlotte. But I am going to try to make the trip to Charlotte fun this year by getting off in Raleigh NC and then taking the Piedmont to Charlotte. Why do this when I could just take the 1 train all the way? The Piedmont has the last operating heritage coaches in the US (I can't say Amtrak as technically they're owned and operated by the NC DOT), and I don't want to miss that! They had a full dome too, but the FRA was being a jerk about safety regs. and they had to sell it. You must give me the details of your actuall trip sometime. I hope you're going down on #97 The Silver Meteor, I always found that as a nice ride time-wise. And hopefully your room (it should say ( ... )

haha, i read it all. i'm not actually to sure of what train we're taking... but i'm sure it'll be great, this si soemthing my brother and i have been planning for years. i'll be sure to give you all the details! and your trip sounds exciting too!!!
