“Nine hundred years of time and space and I still don't get women,” the Doctor said to Jack, glaring at Rose who was dancing with a pretty stranger. “What does she see in that... boy?”
Laughing, the Time Agent took another sip from his Hyper-Vodka. “Looks pretty much like a man to me,” he mentioned, eyeing up the firm muscles on the stranger's arms and upper body. “Young, yes, but so is Rose... So what's the problem, Doc?”
“The problem, Captain, is that we could do better than sittin' around doin' nothin'. Better things than spendin' time with a good-for-nothing Untarian fire-fighter.”
“Depends on what you do with your time, or the fire-fighter,” Jack pointed out, wriggling his eyebrows suggestively. When the Doctor shot him a glare that promised a kick out of an airlock, he sighed. “You should cut her some slack, Doctor. She is a young and very attractive woman who left her boyfriend to travel the stars with you. You should grant her some romance once in a while.”
Narrowing his eyes at the dancing pair when the fire-fighter pressed Rose's body against his own, the Doctor grunted, “She didn't sign up for 'romance' when she decided to become my companion.”
“That much is obvious,” the Time Agent muttered, shaking his head at the fuming Time Lord. “If I didn't know better, I would say you are jealous.”
The Doctor barked a laugh and turned to the bartender to order another drink. “Jealous? I'm a Time Lord, Jack. I don't even know what jealousy is!”
“Oh, good... Then you won't mind him groping Rose's ass,” Jack chirped nonchalantly.
“What?!” The Doctor spun around on his chair, ready to rip the boy's head off when he noticed that his hands still lay innocently on Rose's waist.
Jack laughed heartedly at him. “Not jealous at all, Doc. Not at all...”
Instead of answering, the sulking Time Lord downed his drink in one go.

“Is he still looking?” Rose whispered to her dance partner, swaying to the slow music with him.
“No, but he looked pretty much like he wanted to kill me just now. That guy is jealous as hell, I can tell you,” the fire-fighter said, swinging her around. “You are going to introduce me to your good looking friend then?”
“Sure,” Rose returned, smiling at the success of this operation. “I'm sure Jack would love to dance with you.”
The young man laughed openly at her metaphor. “That's great! And you’re sure you don't want to join in?” he asked, pressing his body even closer to hers.
Rose grinned but put a hand on his chest to put some space between them. “As tempted as I am, there is only one man for me.”
They continued to dance and when the song ended, she returned to a very sullen Time Lord, whose mood brightened instantly when her hand touched his.
