i love my job.
So far, the only bad things about working at camp are:
1. Tick bite on the ass.
2. No time for reading fic.
I hate bugs. I hate the heat. I abhor exercise (even the stuff that's supposed to be "fun," like kayaking or rock climbing or rappelling or whatever), and I sweat like a pig in the AC, so summer in GA with no AC= I am a puddle of my own sweat.
Somehow, if you add all these things together, I'm happy as a lark. Yeah, I don't get it either.
I think it's a combo of my love for nature (except for mosquitoes... they can basically fuck off forever), my love of community, and my love of kids. Camp is all of these things all the time, and I'm sure by the beginning of July I will be ready to quit forever and ever (because living with the same people for 5 and a half days a week, 24 hours a day is kind of intense), right now it's just really fun. :)
