While amusing that's a bit too fearmongering and over-the-top to be effective. If anything it seems like the sort of thing that would turn voters against us.
I mean, yeah, the LDS were a big part of it, but targeting them directly in an attack ad like that is more likely to cause a backlash than anything. Besides, if anything they weren't the biggest reason it passed. Going after the people who did the majority of the voting seems more important than who supplied funding.
Oh yeah, I didn't say it was an *effective* ad. I agree that an attack like that is too much like "stooping to their level" than informing the voters about facts. I just thought it was funny!
