nothing much for today
woot! total and complete me being a pain in the ass!
so, i'm bound and determined to win that xbox before todd does, now. if only to laugh at him. because i'm evil. that, and why should i give up my many bounties of bottle caps so HE can win a game system he'll be able to afford to buy better than i can? besides, i can probably trade it in and get enough cash to buy a nintendo revolution. and i'm only doing this because i wanted to figure out how to use lj cuts. because all of you suck that use them all of the time. :)
i, for one, can't wait for the new nintendo system. ooooo! and i don't care what people say about the new controller. it's different, sure, but i'll try it before i decide i hate it. i've gone through enough changes of controller playstyle that i'm not really bothered by this one. actually, i'm amazed controllers have stayed the same for so long.
let's see... old number pad on a sears system thing (with pong, i might add. YES I PLAYED PONG AND BOWLING ON MY FIRST CONSOLE SYSTEM! I AM THAT OLD!). then onto a joystick with number pad for coleco vision and a regular joystick for the atari 2600 attachment we had. then on to this little flat rectangular thing with a updownrightleft cross button thing on one side and two buttons on the right for my nintendo. then on to THREE buttons for my sega. then on to FOUR for the ps1. the ps2 has SIX and an analog stick or two. my gamecube has two analog stick, 3 external buttons, a directional pad, four or five buttons on the right, and the analog sticks can also be used as buttons. then there's going from keyboard to mouse playstyles on the computer. took me awhile to get used to the "point and click" style.
so a little, simplified, remote control-like controller isn't going to bug me that much. at least it'll fit in my little hands, unlike the GIANT controller the xbox has. i hate that thing.
besides, i hear a rumor that we can still use standard gamecube controllers with it. which would ROCK.
what else is going to ROCK? the new zelda game coming out. OOOooOOOOOooooo
