This show is such an addiction! I've already seen the Japanese version and most of the Taiwanese version so why am I so addicted? I know what's going to happen but I can't stop watching. Even though the basic story is the same, I love the different twists the various counties put on their own versions. The Japanese one was funnier and more tongue-in-cheek. That's probably due to the fact that I could never take Matsumoto Jun seriously and Oguri Shun's Rui was more carefree and laid back. The Taiwanese one was more dramatic and realistic? I haven't finished it yet but it seems to have the best acting and plot. Jerry Yan is very believable as someone who could love you completely or kill you with a snap of his fingers (but he's still got the quirks and goofiness required of the Domyoji character). And of all the actors that have played Rui, Vic Zhou is my favorite. He plays the role with both heart and wisdom but also a bit of innocence, which is refreshing. It's still too early to judge the Korean version but it seems more romantic. I was a bit disappointed that Jun Pyo fell for Jandi so quickly but I love the way their relationship is progressing. But like half the fandom, I'm more excited about the Ga Eul & So Yi Jung pairing. I really hope they deviate completely from the magna just to make them work. Or there will be riots!
