I personally find it a little strange when James and/or Sirius abuse and take advantage of Remus in certain fanfics, because it seems to me that it's one thing they would never do. I imagine them and Peter as having a real protective streak toward him, actually. But that's my opinion.

Although I also have trouble with an evil, mean, and dark Sirius, I can't deny that he has to have some sort of issues coming from a home like his, ahahahah. But yeah, I agree, the complete bro-ness of the Marauders is part of what makes them so appealing.
