oh man want to go see. Even though I've never played the Assassin's Creed games because my old clunky computer can't handle them, my dream job is in game concept art so this is totally relevant to my interests. Not to mention AC has gorgeous graphics, so I'm sure the art will be mind blowwwing.
And oh hey I went to a Warhol exhibition too! And I've studied Holtzer as well. And by study I mean "whine and complain about having to study her." Being more of a traditionalist when it comes to art, I tend to dislike postmodern stuff unless it's really incredible, and Holtzer fits into my "psh whatevs" category. xD I went to a Ron Mueck exhibition once though, which I would totally link to but linking to absolutely killed my last post so I'll play it safe. .__.
You should play them, especially if you're mad about certain periods of history like me! I play them on the PS3 and it's goooooorgeous, especially the second game. Holy pretty accurate ancient Italian architecture, Batman!
Do you like Warhol? I'm kinda meh about him in the same way you are about Holtzer (whom I like sometimes depending on her subject matter, and meh otherwise). I can recognize that certain modern + postmodern artists were super influential and important and we should worship the ground they walked on, but I dunno. I'm more of a traditionalist too.
Oh, I had to do a small research on Ron Mueck once! Now his stuff is awesome. And slightly creepy. But still awesome.
I've wanted to play them since the first game came out! ;;n;; But I don't have a ps3 and my computer's graphics card is super crap. But next year I'm getting some money and I'll buy a new computer and probably AC2 and Brohood and totally not because I desperately need to play the Plague Doctor character, noooo not at all.
I thought the exhibition I went to was fantastic in the way it set up (they had lots of interactive instalations set up that were inspired by Warhol) but I say "ehhhhhhhhh" to him. Pop art isn't my thing - to me art is all about imagination, creation and skill, not spamming out the same doodle 1000 times in different colours. .__. Have you heard of Damien Hirst? I was forced to study him, and I don't think I've ever hated an artist so passionately. Go google him. The majority of his stuff is mutilated animal carcasses stuffed into glass boxes. The work I loathe the most is this one where he's dumped a bleeding, severed cow's head into a huge glass box, a box that has a hole in one side. Flies and maggots infest the

Plague Doctor is a completely legit reason for wanting to play AC: Brohood. 8D
Ah, our exhibit was pretty nice too, and I did like the record cover work he had done, but everything else was kind of "Why am I looking at this :|". I completely agree with what you said about Pop Art! But try explaining that to all the people around me who seem to love it.
I thought Damien Hirst sounded familiar, then I looked him up and I was like OH YEAH, THIS GUY...EW. Not a fan of his stuff either. I didn't know about all the animal stuff, though. That's not only in poor taste, but what's the meaning of it from an artistic standpoint? Grrrah.
Aaaah, I'm jealous, as I've never gone to a Mueck exhibition before. Sounds incredible. *_*
