I am really enjoying this story. I particularly like the way you are following Cas' emotional arc in the show but putting it in a very different setting. Boy is messed up but hopefully he will figure out what is really important and he and Dean can have a happy ending of sorts.

Looking forward to seeing how you wrap all this up.

Thankyou! I'm so pleased you got that--I love how he's this pompous, aloof character in the beginning, then he mellows as he falls, and then he kind of goes back to being pretty aloof again. I too hope he can figure out what's really important because let's face it, it certainly isn't his job at this point!

Things were bound to come to a head, unfortunately. Castiel couldn't keep up separating hooker!Dean with boyfriend!Dean, because the two are the same. He needs to have some thinking space...let's hope Dean can wait.

I didn't expect this! Well, I mean... not the confrontation part, that was definitely due, but the fact that what triggered it was Zachariah!

I think seeing Dean with Zachariah really brought it home to Cas exactly what Dean does, and exactly what he will have to put up with if he chooses to pursue a relationship. Talk about hitting him over the head with it!
