Yeah, it's been awhile.
I don't even remember what happened since last time. I guess I've been busy, but I'm not sure.
Things I Do category
I pulled a bunch of all nighters this semester, which is cool. I kindof liked it, especially after I discovered that Bawlz energy drinks are delicious instead of disgusting like all other energy drinks how in the

Are you married to palo alto or are you willing to live in mountain view? What type of place are you looking for (studio, 1bdrm, 2bdroom, house)?

i am not married to palo alto but i have serious reservations about a long commute. i plan to have plenty of other things to do with my time. though i hear mountain view is jumping with people i enjoy, so...
i'd like roommate(s) very much! but i'm skeptical of finding some on my own. so unless i can find some with credibility i'm looking at a studio or 1bedroom for now.

* ==stalkingmsd...Mountain View is lovely. I still secretly hope to sublet from him from July through early October.
* If they don't mind you getting to work at 10 AM or later, though, you can live further north for added cheapness...just so long as you would get on to 101 south of 92.
* I have put my opinion into this google map of where you should live. It is also where I would want to live if I don't end up at stalkingmsd's, taking into account shortness of commute, safety, and access to awesomenesses.
* If you live much further south than 92, you functionally live in the "South Bay." This means that you don't live in "San Francisco," and the wonder which is "the City" is not yours to have, but only to visit. Where I lived last summer was about perfect given that I worked where I worked.

- why will that dot make me want to die on my commute? a bad 101 / 92 merge?
- what do you consider a short commute, and are your awesomenesses the same as mine?
- why was last summer's place so perfect? was the city yours to have, or only to visit?
- thanks. you're good at informations.

* No, sitting in stupidly congested traffic while everybody ELSE merges. It turns out that having a long or frustrating commute to work is a significant negative predictor of overall satisfaction with life, even controlling for things like the fact that rich people commute further because they have sweet houses in the hills. Commuting sucks, and it is worth money to not do it.
* A commute is short if it is under 15 minutes...it's 30 from my place last year into the city (without traffic). My awesomenesses were more or less people to hang out with and events. For instance, random_vamp is a lot of fun to traipse around the city with. Also, piratechan lives north of the city, and is also fun to visit. At 30 minutes away, trips to the city can be spontaneous. Driving from Palo Alto ( ... )
