Based on my knowledge of Pittsburgh, the second story was most likely perpetrated by an insane person, thus having little to nothing to do with her actual politics. Where she was isn't exactly a great part of town and most likely she was at the wrong place at the wrong time. He was there to mug her, which he did before he carved the B into her face. The B is also random, which leads me to think even more that this person was probably crazy and would have reacted just as strongly to anything.

And you know me, I'm no fan of Democrats either, so I'm not letting them off. I just have a really strong feeling that if/when they find this guy, he'll have no recollection of this because he's either a crackhead or schizophrenic.

I'm not saying it wasn't a crime. It certainly was! Clear and simple, this person should be put in jail for what he did to her. I'm just saying I've lived in Pittsburgh (for more than three years) and I really doubt there's any sane person there who would do anything like that. Or anywhere really... it's my opinion that only the truly crazy do something like that and those people are everywhere, left, right and apolitical.
