Very cool! I like Regulus's charisma, pulling James right in. :) (Here from regulus_centric, btw).

OHH MY GOD HOW DID I MISS THIS?! FFFFFFFFFFFFFF

i love how you captured the bleakness and desperation of that drawing just so perfectly. i love regulus and his apparent unfeeling-ness and angry confused james (which really seems to be a constant with this ship and i love it so) YOU ARE AWESOME and i will be pimping this on my LJ shortly.

I wasn't missed.

ouch. :│ chilling when you consider his subsequent death.

also would you pretty please consider crossposting to regulusjames? *bats eyelashes, is shameless* but if you don't want to go through the bother of joining the comm to post one thing (which i understand cause god knows that's what stops me from posting to many, many communities) i will happily make a post there to rec it!

Oh good! I was worried you wouldn't find it. :D I'm glad I was able to capture the tone of your brilliant drawing! One of the things I love most about Regulus' story is how those he cared most about (like Sirius, even if he might not have admitted it) never learned about his sacrifice during the war, thinking instead he died out of cowardice. :/ The unsung heroes always get to me.

I'm so happy you enjoyed it. And sure, I don't see the harm in cross-posting. ♥

forced me to log in, did you? and before you go on about covering your face or facepalming or sniffing your hand lotion my excuse is that i'm here to figure out how you and peruvian flutes are connected. yes.

anyway, it's my first time reading this pairing (yeah, go on about how i only read recs lol) but i thought this pairing was pretty intriguing. it's really interesting because you're a primarily r/s writer and therefore you're used to characterizing sirius more often but i like the way you adapted the things you're more familiar with writing, such as the dynamic of the Black family, to this new pairing because sirius and regulus do have that in common. and i think it's really interesting that sirius and regulus essentially had the same upbringing but they are really different in character in the way they react to the experiences around them. it got me thinking!

You know, as soon as I sent that e-mail I thought "crap, now she's going to read my stuff." lol Silly you, all you had to do was Google "peruvian flute bands" and the first thing that would've come up is a South Park episode. Which I am linked to through the fact of having to read articles about it (which I did, in fact, write about) and watch the film. ;p Oh, internet scavenger hunts.

Sniffing hand lotion? Is this a solution to embarassing situations?

But anyway, thank you for commenting. I actually do appreciate it. :)

Re: your thoughts - It's also my first time writing this pairing (it's a pretty rare one), so it was interesting for me on that level too. I like to think I've got a pretty good idea of my!Regulus when he's with his fellow Slytherins or his family, and I similarly am comfortable with James-as-a-marauder, but it was a bit strange for me to take them out of their respective comfort zones. Yay for challenges (exotic woodpipery aside)!

Thank you for reading! It's quite an interesting pairing, isn't it? Inevitably tragic, mind you, but still. ;p
