The way an idol breaks up

Am I the only one who thinks that Shige changed the way his name is written because he no longer wants the kanji ryo (aki) to be in it?

Seriously, it was the first thing that popped into my mind! I wrote a Ryo/Shige breakup fic that I haven't posted yet. I wonder if I could get the name thing in there?

But really, it's such a shame. I have nothing against katakana, but idk, i just like the kanjis for his name. ;; it always reminded me of that report about shige writing his name in katakana on ryo's birthday card because otherwise it'd look like shige+ryo... it's all about otps isn't it :'D

You know, THIS was the first thing that came to my mind when I first read about his name-change. I was like "Why Shige?! Why did you have to change your name?? Is it because you don't want to be reminded of Ryo?? -____-" LOL, the rabid imaginations of a fangirl! :D

Not only that, but I really liked his name in kanji. The meaning behind his name was beautiful.
and in the end, it always translated to ShigeRyo : D
