[OOC] Powers and Abilities
- Immortality
You might be able to take the man down and out for a few minutes, but he just will not die. This may or may not be tied to the below ability;
- Imagination
Basically, if he can't imagine it happening, it won't happen. Period.
[Example; In this first page he's believed to have died; which he proves them wrong in this second page. A second better explanation from later on.
- Regeneration
- Opening Dimension Doorways;
Akabane has the power to casually walk through dimensions at his leisure (within certain locations anyway). [Example: 1 , 2 ]
- Intelligence
He's an ex-doctor, so it's a given that he has considerable knowledge of the human body. And like a great doctor who relies on instinct to diagnose patients; his experience allows him to sense tumors and the paths of blood vessels and the root of muscle aches. His experience is inexplicable yet precise. Akabane knows his opponents next move before they even do. He can also determine his opponents move upon what he does first. [Example; He explains that he can do this to Ginji during one of their first fights]
- Insane Speed, Agility and Strength;
Akabane's speed is such that even people who are used to moving really damn quick are incapable of understanding this man's speed; [Example from Akabane's first encounter with the Get Backers;

Also he has no problems at all in being capable of slicing through flesh, bone, metal or even diamond; thus showing off his strength (and as is often the case also his speed)

- Accuracy
[Example; Kyoji Kagami threw a lot of diamond shards at the man, Akabane countered by just randomly throwing out his scalpels. As ye can see they deflected each other dead on.Each throw by both men , Contact , En masse]
- His own blood;
Akabane’s greatest ability however is the usage of his blood itself. Everything that mixes with it becomes his weapon. He can also steal not only materials but also abilities linked to them.
In a battle with Kyoji Kagami, Akabane was cut up by his Diamond Dust from the inside and his organs were instantly ripped to shreds but he didn’t die. Instead, the diamond shards mixed with his blood, instantly allowing him to reproduce diamond scalpels to match Kagami’s feat. [Examples: 1 , 2 , 3 , 4]
He later learned to make clones of himself from his blood like Kagami does with his mirrors. [See Bloody Avatar below]
When he fought Masaki Kurusu , who commands and controls light, Akabane's blood dripped on Masaki’s shadow which was created by the light waves Masaki controls, essentially allowing Akabane to assimilate and adapt the light control ability. He could now control "shadow" and extend it at will, use it to bypass defense and attack inner organs or engulf the opponent to rob him of his senses. [See Bloody Darkness below]
- Scalpels;
108 of them actually. The scalpels are hidden within his body and he can change what material they're made of (besides his blood) as he so desires. After Ginji pulled all 108 of them out of him at once, he changed them to a ceramic, titanium alloy that didn't conduct electricity, and then later to diamond. His scalpels can easily break through large pillars, diamond, large hills, and various targets instantly. They also have the ability to place people within suspended animation.
- Bloody Sword;
Akabane's main weapon which is made from his blood. If something manages to survive his scalpels or he just desires to end something before it even begins, he tends to pull this out. Also, he has used this sword to cut through time and space and he can't imagine there being something or someone that he can't cut with this sword. In essence; it's basically a sword with reality manipulation.
[Examples; summoning the sword , Summoning and using the sword to kill a group of attackers , Using the sword to cut through time/space to make himself an exit where there was nothing of the sort previously]
- Bloody Lance; If necessary, Akabane can create a lance in the same manner as he does the sword. Usually its meant for one-shot kill attempts.
- Bloody Rain;
In essence, he sends all 108 of his scalpels into the air above him, then directs them to literally 'rain' down on his target. [Example; He used this move within one his first fights with Ginji: The start ,
He states the attack's name and asks if Ginji can avoid the 'rain of death' , the Rain falls and get's Ginji 'wet'.]
- Bloody Cross;
By laying his palm outwards which has a cross scar, a cross-like pattern will appear, and cause his opponent to be cleaved into 4 quarters as though they were sliced by a cross-shaped knife.This is his instant death move. It completely rids the body of all his opponents blood vessels while ripping them apart.
- Bloody Sagittarius;
By laying his palm outwards which has a cross scar, a massively larger cross-like pattern will appear, and cause his opponent to be cleaved into 4 quarters as though they were sliced by a large cross-shaped knife.This move is his instant death move. A more powerful version of the Cross.
- Bloody Hurricane;
He can hurl his scalpels to form a hurricane around his victim leaving no chance of escape before impaling them into the victim's body.
- Bloody Stream;
He throws his scalpels directly at the opponent with deadly accuracy. [Example; The attack , The result]
- Bloody Shield;
A shield consisting of sixteen of his scalpels seemingly held in place by a psychic barrier.They can block light and react fast enough to counter light. This shield can also block light from an omnidirectional point.
- Bloody Darkness;
Akabane can launch dark attacks upon his opponent. Just as Masaki uses light, Akabane commands the darkness. He can use the darkness to bypass all defenses and attack inner organs directly, and engulf an opponent with pure darkness robbing them of all of their senses [Example: 1 , 2 ]
- Bloody Avatar;
Akabane can make a massive amount of clones of himself to fight at his leisure. They can even cut through diamond and share his same demonic dreadful speed and abilities. [Example: 1 , 2 , 3 ]
